The manufacturers of our Rise and Fall brackets cut the threaded rod to size from 3mtr sections, weld it to the formed steel cup, and we then have the part zinc plated. There is a possibility that a concentration of zinc (The zinc plating can vary between 8-16 microns) in one area on the thread might sometimes cause the nut to become tight – or the thread might easily get knocked about and slightly damaged in transit or on site.

We asked around our regular customers who told us that they use a ratchet spanner when fitting these Rise and Fall brackets, so that they don’t lose any time when fitting – just in case the bolts do occasionally not ‘thread’ that well by hand.
