This was a new build extension & garage attached to the main property at the same time as some minor refurbishments to the main house. The existing PVCu gutter system was replaced and helped restore this beautiful 1930’s Edwardian House near Cheltenham to its former glory.
Rainclear assisted the client with quotations that were generated after completing flow calculations and material schedules from drawings supplied by the customer; this allowed us to give an itemised quotation to the customer without the inconvenience of them having to complete a full measure of the property themselves.
While this project is in a conservation area the building itself is not listed so there were no restrictions from the planning authority on what gutter material should be used. The client subsequently chose the Cast Aluminium rainwater system concluding that both the aesthetic and functional benefits outweighed the extra cost.
The client chose to install the system himself and found the product easy to work with and is very pleased with the result; a true testament to the fact that you don’t need to be an experienced specialist installer to complete a successful installation!
