Rainclear offered support over the phone as the customer knew he didn’t want plastic but knew he wanted anthracite grey and a modern look. Beyond that, he was open to investigate all metal options.
We began by ordering the door canopy which would be bespoke. An anthracite grey aluminium 2m BS canopy with integral LED light and a bespoke anthracite grey letterbox
Next was the fascia and soffit and the window surround. He had never worked with metal fascia and soffit before, but Rainclear provided installation guidance.
Then finally, colour coated galvanised steel gutter and downpipes (chosen over aluminium because of the budget – which wasn’t limitless and had already been stretched on the bespoke canopy and unique window surround.)
There were 4 separate deliveries in all, made as materials became required.

And about fitting the door canopy in particular:
“laser is the only way – spirit levels just don’t’ work over these distances”
“put up the roof first, then the side panel – so you can secure the bottom screws on which the final roof panel bracket rests”
