Job specific details & scope of works
In 2022, we supplied products for a 48-home social housing development in Liverpool. Installed by Rainmen, the project specification required our Infinity Galvanised Steel guttering system across the apartments and houses on site.
The Infinity Galvanised Steel rainwater system, manufactured by Zambelli, was selected for its exceptional durability, long lifespan, and minimal maintenance requirements. When installed correctly, this system can perform reliably for up to 25 years, making it an ideal choice for housing associations planning 30-year asset management cycles. This longevity ensures consistent, high-performance drainage and reduces the need for costly replacements or repairs.
Another key advantage of galvanised steel is its cost-effectiveness. While it represents a higher initial investment compared to uPVC alternatives, steel remains one of the most affordable metals for rainwater systems. It offers a balance of strength, quality, and aesthetic appeal without compromising on performance, providing developers with a solution that delivers long-term value and sustainability.
This case study is another great example of housing developers making the switch to metal rainwater systems that not provide effect, low maintenance drainage but also become a distinctive feature on many developments. In this case, as the chosen steel gutters and downpipes age, they will develop a unique patina.
